My review

I think the back cover resumes perfectly the novel. First, I didn’t realize the story happened in Alberta (I wanted to read it just after viewing the cover) and since I have always wished to visit that part of Canada, I was curious to consult it although it’s a historical romance, which is one of my favorite genres.

The characters speak more in English from England than Canadian, but it probably makes sense knowing when it's happening, and it takes years for a country to create their language. I didn’t notice much difference while I read the novel.

Currently, 4 books have been published from this series and this is the beginning. There are a lot of characters, so you really need to concentrate. My favorite is Ruthanna. I was scared that she was a hopeless lady that I saw many times in that genre, but she is determinate, which is a quality that I admire in woman in fiction and real life.

I don't remember much about Bertram, except that he was nice to Ruthanna and he took forever to propose to her. I let you discover if it will work between them or not.
