The powerful, handsome, and dangerous vampire may be full of warmth and compassion for the girl, but Lilac cannot shake her distrust of Warrick's motives.Even so, there is more about Warrick that she can't seem to stop thinking about…Lilac wants to keep strictly to business, but something about him calls to her. Despite the trouble it might lead to, Lilac finds that the more she's around Warrick, the less she cares about the risks.

My review

It’s a great book to read in October. Back in the day, I was a huge fan of Twilight and Vampire Diary, but this one is a little different. First, the female protagonist is going to live with the vampire. She had to move with him because of the deal her father’s make with Warrick.

Warrick is nothing like Stephan or Edward, he is more like Dracula. He keeps his mystery most of the book and I have a feeling you have to read Book 2 to know more about him. I know he cares about a little girl and it’s probably the only things you learn about him outside the fact that he is a vampire. I like the character in general. He seems to also cares about Lilac, but I still have the feeling that he is hiding something important. He planned something bigger than just making Lilac’s father pay and I don’t find him trustworthy.

My favorite character this time is Lilac. She can totally can kick ass. Some readers can saw her as a daddy’s girl, but once she moves with Warrick. She does not let him control her. Of course, she wonders if she is having Stockholm syndrome when she starts to get feelings for him. I also wonder if it’s the case or if she is only physically attracted to Warrick. It’s easy to be attracted to a mysterious beautiful man and when sex is in the equation, it’s only complicated the situation.

I recommend it if you like vampire story and have a great time. Lilac made me laugh a few times. Even when she is furious, the protagonist makes me smile. Her reactions are just delightful.
