Book 1 - The Lazy Son

Being Lucifer’s only son shouldn’t be so much work.
Christopher might be the antichrist but taking over the world and leading the minions of darkness sounds like a lot of work. And while slacking is a sin his supposed dad Lucifer approves of, his lack of goals is a problem.
Personally, Christopher would rather just work hard enough to make ends meet—and maybe buy a six-pack. But fate is conspiring against him. For some reason the dead won’t stay in the ground, apparently he’s not an only child, he has sisters and this hot chick he met in the cemetery refuses to sleep with him.
It’s time for this lazy prince in waiting to rise to the occasion, maybe start the apocalypse and embrace destiny—or at least make out with it.
My Review
I had this book in my TBR pile for so long that when a friend asked me to read it with her in October, I decided it was the right time to jump. I made a challenge that I will read the three books this month. You will also find my two others reviews below.
First, I do not know where I should put this book because it’s not apocalyptic nor a romance. The relationship between Christopher and Isobel is important, but it’s not the main point of the story. I would say that Christopher searching who he is take most of the book. At the beginning, no one believed him when he said he is the son of Lucifer and he started to doubt it at some point. People keep telling that Lucifer have only daughter so he can not be his daddy. I laughed a couple of times while I was reading. I cannot imagine Lucifer being a golf player. Bambi is a funny character too. I will let you imagine with her name what she is doing for living.
At first, I did not like Isobel that much, but I changed my mind after she told her family’secret. Since I like History so much, she got interesting and I could not stop reading. She became a strong female and I have the feeling that it’s just the beginning.
I do not read in English very often, but it’s easy to understand. The only thing, the author used the word Fuck often. In the same time, You can’t expect demon to be polite. I recommend you to have the Book 2 near if you want to start the series, because you will want to know what is happening next. If I didn’t have so many books to read, I would read it right away.

She left him at the altar, but the devil is making him keep his promise.
Destiny is calling Chris, yet someone forgot to give him an instruction manual on conquering the world. Being the Antichrist is all well and good, but how is he supposed to know how to bring about Armageddon? He’s still waiting for his army of minions, the glory, the riches. And where is the respect?
You’d think any woman would be ecstatic at the thought of marrying the future ruler of the world.
Not Isobel.
She keeps spouting things like “forced to get married,” “love me for myself, not because Daddy made you.”
It doesn’t help that his psychotic mother with a penchant for playing with dead things has taken an interest. However, having her henchman of the apocalypse attempt to kidnap him isn’t the way to get in his good graces.
Things are starting to get complicated on Earth. Dark forces are rising, Chris’s powers are still developing—and he’s pretty sure his dad, Lucifer, wants him dead. What’s the destroyer of the world to do?
Point him to the nearest bar. This calls for more beer.
My Review
I liked the book one and since it’s October I want to keep reading a series about Lucifer ’son. I found this one funnier than the first . I still wonder how Isobel could escape in a forest in a wedding dress.
Chris and Isobel are far from being bored and I never got a dull moment with them. There is always a cliff hanger that make me want to read the next chapter or book. I am planning to finished the trilogy by the end of the month and I am pretty sure I will do it.
Chris annoyed me during the first chapters because of his self pity, but I will let you guess if he will fight for Isobel or not. I am just glad he became himself again instead of keeping crying. I like that the author added the 4 horsemen in that magic craziness. I have the feeling that they will be back in the last book. I can way to see what is happening with them.
I recommend to read the Lazy son before this one to understand the story. I am curious to know more about The Wickedest Witch and Hell’s Princess, but you don’t have to read these before the Hell’s Son. I like Bunny and Evangeline, they added a dark humour in the story, but I did not really laugh yet. I smiled a couple of time, but that’s pretty much it. I am crossing my fingers for book 3.

In order to
be king, Lucifer has to die...
The Antichrist is supposed to rule the world, but Chris kind of promised the
ghost of his father-in-law he’d rather have the love of his wife.
And he meant it…at the time.
However, Chris was born with a destiny. He is the prince-in-waiting. The
destroyer of nations.
A failure with no magic, no armies, and no longer even a psychotic mother he
can call upon.
Is he destined for a mundane life?
Good thing fate has other plans. Plans that include him becoming Hell’s King
My Review
This is the last book of the trilogy and I liked it in general. Unfortunately, I think a lot could have been described. There is a long of dialogue, but not so much description. I don’t like 30 pages’ description, but I feel like the author missed something that make me believe the characters were in Hell, Haven or on Earth.
The good thing is there is a lot of actions and I did not get a dull moment. I had not idea what was happening to Chris and the author surprise me at the end. This my favorite of the trilogy. Not that I did not like the other two, but this one have more actions and surprises.
God and Jesus (I will let you discover his real name) are in it and I think it’s one of the reason why I enjoyed it so much. If you enjoy hell and haven’s fight, I recommend you this trilogy.
